The VDE Mark represents safety and security for a product's intended environment.
The VDE Institute was founded in 1920 and the VDE mark represents safety and security. When a product is tested and then has the VDE mark applied, it shows that the product is compliant with all relevant standards and can be used in its intended environment without posing any kind of hazard.
After a product is tested at the VDE Institute, it receives the VDE mark and the reports from the testing can be used to have various other compliance marks applied, both European and international. The VDE Institute also has the ENEC and HAR marks, which means it is also compliant with CE and can be sold throughout the European Union without having to be recertified.
